NGS in cancer research

In eukaryotes, alternative transcription can generate a vast number of RNAs and proteins from a single gene. Being an adaptive function, it may cause several diseases, including cancer, when the regulation of this process fails. Our aim is to analyze alternative transcripts in tumor samples and in cell lines: do they encode disfunctional proteins, if so how this alters the original function and cause disease.
